The Obafemi Awolowo University Law Journal (OAU Law Journal) is a peer-reviewed academic publication of the Faculty of Law, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. Since its inception, many decades ago, the Journal has consistently published scholarly works of high quality, contributing to the advancement of legal knowledge and practice. It serves as a platform for rigorous academic discourse on contemporary and emerging legal issues in Nigeria, Africa, and around the globe.
The Journal publishes original articles, case notes, commentaries, and reviews from legal scholars, practitioners, policymakers, and postgraduate researchers. With a distinguished Editorial Advisory Board comprising eminent academics and practitioners, the Journal is committed to fostering critical engagement with the law and promoting scholarship that is both theoretically sound and practically relevant.

Aim and Scope
The aim of the Obafemi Awolowo University Law Journal is to provide an authoritative and reputable forum for the publication of high-quality legal scholarship that advances understanding of the law in theory and practice.
Scope:
The Journal welcomes submissions in all areas of law, with particular interest in:
Nigerian law and comparative legal systems; African regional law and integration; International law and transnational legal developments; Constitutional law, human rights, and governance; Commercial and corporate law; Criminal law and criminal justice reform; Environmental and natural resources law; medical law; Law, technology, and innovation; and Socio-legal studies and interdisciplinary approaches to law.
Submissions that adopt comparative, critical, or reform-oriented perspectives are particularly encouraged.
